Forest Garden beds within Connection Clearing

Harmony Farm was started within Harmony Forest in 2001 following the principles of permaculture, forest gardening, and organic gardening, deep and spiritual ecology. Principles which David had also learned in the many natural therapies he had studied as a Gemstone Therapist, Naturopath, Rebirther, and Masseur.

Many of these principles are discussed in the Harmony Forest Blog “Forest Gardening meets Deep and Spiritual Ecology“. Blog subject headings include: Cob Earth Building, Deep Ecology, Eco-Building, Eco-Living, Forest Gardening, Permaculture, Spiritual Ecology, and Sustainable Lifestyle.

The portal into Harmony’s website www.gemstonetherapy.info has sections on All Beings, Deep Ecology and Earth Building Workshops, Organic Gardening and Volunteer Progams, Earth Healing, and Gemstone Therapy, and the Quiet Contemplation and Interpretive Walks that can be enjoyed within the 20 hectares of native forest, creeks, and views of Harmony.

The first field trip of the first students of the first course in Permaculture at the Otago Polytechnic was to Harmony farm. Peta Hudson, course tutor, explains this in the following video: Peta Hudson – Harmony Farm and where to find information:

.

During the course, I explained how listening to and developing Harmony as a forest garden came about, and key personal experiences in that process. Some of this talk to the students is in this video: Harmony Farm – David Baillie:

.

I trust you will enjoy our permaculture resources and especially the deep and spiritual ecological and forest gardening experiences you can have by volunteering at Harmony just over the hill from Dunedin, New Zealand. Look up Harmony Farm, Harmony Forest, 239 Waitati Valley Rd, RD 2 Waitati in www.maps.google.co.nz to see where we are, see pictures of us, and to see links to the above videos.

Have fun,

David Baillie
